Known for its warm reddish-brown tones and subtle grain, the wood was carefully dried and stabilized to improve long-term durability while preserving its natural beauty. The result is a comfortable handle with classic character and dependable performance.

Measuring 9 5/8″ overall with a 5 1/2″ drop-point blade, the Wild Black Cherry French Trade Knife performs exceptionally well in the kitchen, camp, or workshop. The hand-finished convex grind slices cleanly through vegetables, meat, and everyday materials while maintaining excellent edge geometry. Forged from 1095 high-carbon steel, the blade features an antiqued patina that offers additional corrosion resistance and will continue to develop character with age and use.

The stabilized Wild Black Cherry scales are secured with peened 10D bright common nail pins, creating a strong full-tang construction built for years of dependable service.

Each sheath is hand-cut, hand-stitched with heavy linen thread, and sealed with beeswax for added durability and moisture resistance. Care & Maintenance

As with all high-carbon steel blades, hand wash promptly and dry thoroughly after use. Before storage, apply a light coat of food-safe oil or Wiseman Axe & Knife Wax.
