The Bur Oak Big Camper #228 is handcrafted by Greg for durability and performance. This robust knife features a 5” drop-point blade, crafted from 5/32” 1095 high carbon steel with a brushed finish.  These features make it a dependable camp chopper for outdoor adventures. From chopping kindling and preparing firewood to tackling general bushcraft tasks, the Bur Oak Big Camper excels at heavy-duty work in the woods or at the campsite. The Unique Handle
The handle, made from stabilized Florida Burr Oak, comes from a neighbor’s tree that once crowded their driveway. In a true community exchange, we traded a knife for large wood pieces, which Greg carefully cut and stabilized for crafting.
