The Pecan Goldilocks Drop Point Hunting Knife is part of GreBec Knives’ popular Florida Wood Series. This handcrafted fixed blade strikes the perfect “just right” balance —  perfect for hunting and camp chores but compact enough for everyday carry.

Greg crafts the handle from stabilized Florida Pecan heartwood harvested from a locally grown tree, making this knife part of our “Florida Wood Series”. The warm golden tones and subtle grain create a classic look, while the stabilization process helps the wood resist moisture and humidity. Brass pins and lanyard tube complete the handle, giving the knife a timeless appearance that’s built to last.

The 4-inch brushed drop point blade is forged from 5/32″ 1095 high carbon steel and heat treated for excellent edge retention. Thumb serrations on the spine provide extra control during detailed work, while the drop point excels at field dressing, food prep, and general outdoor tasks. A subtle Florida state outline is etched on the blade defining this knife as a “Florida Series”.

This knife comes with a custom hand-stitched veg-tanned leather pouch sheath made specifically for it.

Simple, dependable, and built with care in Florida — the Pecan Drop Point Hunting Knife is equally at home in the woods, at camp, in the shop, or in a collection of fine American-made knives.
