This custom steak knife set showcases true artisanal craftsmanship and brings timeless elegance to every meal.  Each knife is hand-crafted by Greg in his Florida workshop, and no two are identical. Order a four-, five-, or six-piece set to match your table and entertaining style—or start with a single knife to sample the design.

Greg crafts the knives from premium 3/32-inch 1095 high-carbon steel, prized for strength and edge retention. Greg shapes and grinds each 4¼-inch blade, giving it a brushed drop-point profile with a width of about 15/16 inch and a razor-sharp edge that slices through steak with ease. At an overall length of 8 inches and a balanced weight of just 3.1 ounces, each knife feels light yet sturdy. Over time, the steel develops a natural patina that adds character while helping protect the blade.

Handle materials are customizable so your set reflects your taste. Choose from three stabilized Florida hardwoods at checkout:

  • Magnolia – pale and elegant, with subtle grain that takes a fine polish.
  • Live Oak – dense and dramatic, offering deep color and bold pattern.
  • Pignut Hickory – tough and resilient, with warm, earthy tones.

Greg dries, stabilizes, and shapes his native woods for long-lasting comfort.  The ergonomic handle fits naturally in your hand and provides excellent control, whether carving a thick ribeye or delicate tenderloin.

Care & Maintenance

These blades are high-carbon steel, not stainless, which means they will naturally develop a dark patina over time and can rust if left wet. To keep them performing beautifully:

  • Hand-wash promptly after each use and dry completely.
  • Apply a light coat of food-safe oil or our recommended Wiseman Axe & Knife Wax for extra protection.
  • Store in a dry environment.
